University of Florida Community Campaign

2008 Campaign Results

Thank you, Gator Nation! This year employees at the University of Florida gave $1,058,730 to support the UF Community Campaign. University employees gave personally to the campaign through payroll deduction, but many also gave through their involvement in silent auctions, bake sales and even a golf tournament.

Through the UF Community Campaign, University of Florida employees are challenged to give back to local community agencies. Over eighty community agencies are eligible for funding raised during the Community Campaign. These agencies provide a wide variety of services to the greater Gainesville community such as medical assistance, legal help, environmental protection, counseling, recreational opportunities and programs that ensure that children start school ready to learn. Many of these organizations count on these generous donations each year to fulfill their mission and meet the needs of their target population.

In a year like this, when there were no state-funded raises, the UFCC is a true testimony to the generosity and altruism of University of Florida employees. The Gator Nation is a giving nation! Thanks to all who participated in the 2008 University of Florida Community Campaign.
