University of Florida Community Campaign
A Message from the 2009 UFCC Campaign Chair
Robert Jerry, J.D., Dean and Professor, Levin College of Law
None of us needs to be
reminded that the economic times around us are extraordinarily difficult.
Organizations of all kinds, shapes, and sizes, state and local governments, and
individuals and families at a very personal level face serious challenges. We
witness the distress of these difficult times in our own neighbors – whether in Gainesville, in Alachua County, or in cities,
towns, and rural areas throughout our adjacent counties.
It is in times of great need that our generosity is needed the most.
Please consider becoming a part of a Gator Nation that will step up and help the least fortunate among us. Each one of us becomes a champion when we help a child succeed, when we help people achieve good health, when we provide recreational opportunities for our citizens, when we improve the environment, when we support legal and financial counseling or other services to help people with their greatest personal challenges, and more. These are just a few of the ways the University of Florida Community Campaign helps individuals and families throughout our region.
This year’s campaign goal is $1,111,111.11. We can meet this goal if we will all
work together, and this year – more than ever – is the year we need to meet and
hopefully exceed it. Our neighbors are depending on us. It is easy to give –
your participation is just one click on the Internet away. Give online at
http://www.ufcc.ufl.edu. You may
contribute by payroll deduction, check/cash or direct bill, but like last year,
it is all done online. Please give as generously as you can. The needs around us
have never been greater. We all win when we support the University of Florida
Community Campaign.
Sincerely,
Robert Jerry, J.D.
