University of Florida Community Campaign

A Message from the 2008 UFCC Leadership Chair
John Kraft, Ph.D. Professor and Dean, Warrington College of Business Administration

The University of Florida Community Campaign – it really does make a difference.

And, this year, it’s easier than ever!

Our campaign theme for 2008 is “Gators Give Online.” Now, UF employees can support 74 charitable agencies with just the click of a button!

Last year, UF, UAA, and UFF employees donated $1,167,446 to support of the UF Community Campaign – a significant increase over what was raised in 2006!

This year, we have the chance once again to show the members of the Gainesville community that the UF community cares. Our 2008 campaign goal is $1,300,000. Your contribution is an opportunity to improve the health and welfare of thousands of our neighbors, including animal companions.

As economic pressures mount in these troubling times, many charitable organizations also find their budgets stretched thin as donation levels drop. The funds we raise will give much-needed support to the participating agencies, allowing them to continue providing relief, assistance, and the types of activities that make Gainesville and Alachua County such a special place.

While you may be facing challenges at this time yourself, take a moment to reflect on the fates of those who have even less. Please join me in making a gift to the UF Community Campaign. Whether you give a little or give a lot, every dollar truly does count. Together, we can make a huge difference to those in need. So, please, visit the UFCC website today at: www.ufcc.ufl.edu/makeapledge.asp and let’s get started on making a difference!

Sincerely,

Dean John Kraft, Chair
